The short version
Payment is due at booking and is non-refundable. It never expires. If your plans change, the full amount stays on your account as a credit you can apply to this assessment or any gender-related care we offer, whenever you’re ready.

Payment at booking
Booking reserves time on a clinician’s schedule, and your assessment starts before the letter is written. Your appointment is confirmed once payment clears.

Non-refundable, but not lost
All payments are non-refundable. This applies in every case, including if you:

• cancel your appointment
• miss your appointment without notice
• change your mind about surgery or other gender-related care
• learn a letter is no longer required
• have a change in insurance, surgical, or personal plans
• decide not to use the service for any other reason

What non-refundable does not mean is gone. The full amount stays on your account as a credit with no expiration date. Use it now or years from now, toward this assessment or any level of gender-related care at Queer Talk Therapy. 

Rescheduling
Reschedule anytime, based on availability. It doesn’t change your payment terms. Reach out as early as you can so we can get you re-slotted.

What your letter guarantees
We guarantee the letter. It meets current WPATH SOC-8 standards and is written to clearly support the medical necessity of your care. If a receiving organization asks for a reasonable clarification or correction, we handle it promptly at no additional cost.

Our letters get accepted
Our WPATH letters are accepted by surgeons and insurers at a very high rate. We write them to meet current WPATH SOC-8 standards, and they hold up.

Every so often, an outside organization has an extra rule of its own. When that happens, we send a quick clarification. That’s a small fix, not a sign that anything is wrong with your letter.

Your payment covers the assessment and the letter. It does not pay for another organization’s decision, and it is not refunded based on one.
